Neptune finalist at Epitech Experience - Technical Track

The Neptune team: Ariel Chambaz, Adrien Picot and our mission to save lives

Proud to announce that Team Neptune, composed of Lucas Iglesia, Adrien Picot and myself, has been selected among the finalists of the technical track at Epitech Experience!

Our mission? Save lives.

We have developed a computer vision system capable of detecting signs of drowning in real-time on beaches. When every second counts, our technology analyzes behaviors in the water and immediately alerts in case of distress.

The challenge was significant

  • Distinguish from afar a swimmer in difficulty from a simple immersion
  • Function in variable conditions (brightness, waves, crowds)
  • Guarantee reliable detection to intervene in time

Drowning remains the leading cause of accidental deaths. Our conviction: technology can be a valuable ally for lifeguards and reduce these tragedies.

Acknowledgments

Thank you to the entire team for these hours of development, testing and iterations. Thank you to Epitech for this selection in the finals that validates our efforts and our approach.

What's next?

Convince a jury of experts and tech leaders and perhaps, one day, see our solution deployed on our beaches.
